Every member of your band has a Backstage account with one or more roles. Roles are additive — a member can hold several at once — and they control which sections of the Backstage menu they see.

To grant or remove roles for a member, go to Members in the Backstage (requires the Board manager role, or a special role that's been granted Members) and open their profile.
The three fixed manager roles above each unlock a whole section of the Backstage. Sometimes that's more than you want to hand someone — say, a volunteer who should only manage sheet music, or someone who should only publish news items. Special role 1, Special role 2 and Special role 3 solve that: each one starts with no access at all, and you tick exactly which individual pages (from Music management, Board management and Mozivio management) it may open and edit, in Settings > Backstage > Special user roles. Once configured, assign the role itself to a member the same way as any other role, from their profile under Members.
