Under Events in the Backstage, the board schedules rehearsals, concerts, meetings and anything else members should show up for. Creating events and publishing them to your public site's agenda is included on every plan, including Start.
Give the event a title, date, time and location, and toggle Publish to the website to show it in your public agenda — that part works the same regardless of your plan.
Plus and up Inviting specific bands or members, and tracking who's coming, is a Plus-and-up feature. On those plans, you can also attach a file (a rehearsal schedule, a map...) to the event. Once created, it appears on each invited member's own My events page, where they can mark themselves as going or declined — you'll see a live count of responses on the event itself. On the Start plan these fields aren't shown, since there's no one to invite yet without My events.
An event is either one-time (a single date) or recurring (e.g. "every Tuesday at 8pm"). You choose which when creating it, and this can't be changed afterwards — if a one-time event turns out to need a recurring pattern (or the other way round), create a new event instead.
A recurring event doesn't need a fixed end date — leave it open-ended for a rehearsal slot that just keeps going, or set one for something like a rehearsal series that runs up to a concert.
Need to skip a single occurrence without breaking the pattern — a holiday, a cancelled rehearsal? Open the event and add an exception for that one date. The rest of the series is unaffected, and the date reappears the moment you remove the exception again.
Editing a recurring event asks what you want to change:
Open any event from the Events list to change its details, or use the delete option to remove it entirely (for a recurring event, this removes the whole series, not just one date — use an exception instead if you only meant to skip one occurrence). Deleting an event also removes any attendance history and attachments tied to it, and can't be undone.
Only what Publish to the website controls is public: the event's title, date, time, location and (if set) a ticket link, shown on your site's public agenda for anyone to see. Everything else about an event stays Backstage-only — who's invited, who's going or declined, attached files, and the exact recurrence pattern behind a repeating event never appear on the public site, regardless of your plan.
